PM Nawaz Undergoes “Successful” Surgery, Shifted To ICU

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has undergone “successful ” open-heart surgery at a London hospital, his daughter Maryam Nawaz announced on Twitter. “Surgery successful by The Grace Of Almighty,” Maryam, who is accompanying the prime minister along with other members of the Sharif family in London, tweeted on Tuesday minutes after the surgery completed. She said the Prime Minister is off the pump now. “He will be shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICI) in the next 60 minutes or so,” she added. “Alhamdolillahi Rab Al Aalameen ….. Surgery successful.” Separately, Federal Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif also announced on social media that PM’s surgery was successful, Alhamdolillah. “May God bless him with a quick and complete recovery. The nation awaits its leader,” he said.
